Community Guidelines
Voyager connects you with a random traveler somewhere in the world for a live conversation. These guidelines describe how we expect people to behave and how to keep yourself safe.
Please read this honestly: Voyager is not moderated. No one screens calls, and there is no live support watching. You are responsible for your own safety. If a call makes you uncomfortable, end it and start a new one — that is always the right move.
You must be 18 or older
Voyager is an adults-only service. By using it you confirm you are at least 18. If you believe you are talking to a minor, end the call immediately.
Expected behavior
- Treat the other person with basic respect, even briefly.
- Keep yourself dressed and your surroundings appropriate for a traveler to see.
- Assume the other person may be from a very different culture or context.
- If either of you wants to leave, that is fine — disconnecting is normal and expected.
Not allowed
- Nudity, sexual activity, or exposing anyone to sexual content without consent.
- Any content that sexualizes or involves minors. This is illegal and will be reported to the relevant authorities.
- Harassment, threats, hate speech, or inciting violence.
- Recording, screenshotting, or streaming another person without their consent.
- Illegal activity of any kind, or using Voyager to promote or carry it out.
- Trying to track down, dox, or contact someone outside Voyager without consent.
- Bots, automation, scraping, or attempts to overload or break the service.
These rules are part of our Terms of Service. Violating them may also break the law where you live.
Protecting yourself
- Don't share your full name, address, workplace, financial details, or other identifying information with travelers.
- Be skeptical of anyone asking for money, gifts, or to move the conversation to another app.
- Remember the other person could record you. Don't do or show anything on camera you wouldn't want saved.
- Translations are AI-generated and can be wrong — don't rely on them for anything important.
- Trust your instincts. End any call, any time, for any reason. You never owe a traveler an explanation.
Reporting and emergencies
Voyager does not record calls and has no in-app reporting or way to identify other users, so we generally cannot act on individual calls after they end. If you witness or experience something illegal — especially anything involving a minor — contact your local law enforcement. For legal or abuse correspondence to Voyager, email thelabcook@protonmail.com.
Changes
We may update these guidelines as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
